On Friday 8th November, Y2 took part in their local area walk around Netherton. Luckily, the sun was shining and we weren't too cold! We walked through the park, over to Bumble Hole, followed the canal and then we walked back to school by following the Halesowen Road. We
talked about different houses, shops and buildings and discussed the difference between them. We also linked our learning back to our Geography map work in the classroom and made sure that we looked out for different road signs so that we knew where we were! The children were thoroughly engaged during the whole visit and they were a pleasure to take out (the volunteers in Bumble Hole cafe even said how polite they were).
Well done Y2 - let's see what else we can find out about our local area in our History and Geography lessons.
