We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 1st March.  Children will be able to come to school:

either dressed as their favourite book character  or dressed in pyjamas whilst bringing in their favourite bedtime story.

 

Of course, dressing up is NOT compulsory!  Normal school uniform is also fine!

The school day starts at 8.55 but to help everyone, we open the doors at 8.45, 10 minutes in advance.   Children arriving earlier than that, either by themselves, or being dropped off, are UNSUPERVISED.  Needless to say, this is potentially a serious safeguarding issue. 

This morning, 2 children were dropped off and left at 8.10, entirely alone in the dark and the rain!  

 

We do have a breakfast club where children are supervised, fed, kept warm and safe and this is available from 7.30 and I would encourage you to use it if you need to drop your children off early.

 

 

The safety of my children is my absolute top priority!  Thank you for your support and understanding.

I am so sorry to inform you that over the weekend we had thieves on the school site.  They stripped the George building roof of lead.  This will now result in us spending money on repair, money that should be going on our children's education! 

 

If anyone heard or saw anything, please do come forward.

 

 

It was wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents in school this morning.  It's a fantastic sight to behold, seeing so many folks working hard alongside their children!
