  • World Book Day - Thursday 2nd March

Thu 16 Feb 2017 Mr Regan

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday March 2nd, which is the first Thursday after half term.  On that day we encourage chlidren to come to school dressed as either:

    A favourite book character

    or

In pyjamas with their favourite night time story book

Please spend time talking with your children and helping them choose their favourite character or book.  Please please please do not spend a fortune on a costume!

  • INSET Day - Monday 27th Feb

Wed 15 Feb 2017 Mr Regan

Just a reminder to everyone that school is closed for children on Monday 27th February for staff training, re-opening on Tuesday 28th at normal time.

Our focus for the training promises to be an intensive workshop on "Kinetic Handwriting" which is a new and, hopefully, successful approach to the teaching of handwriting.  Next half term, improving handwriting will be a key priority for us.

Needless to say, any positive messages you can give the children on the importance of handwriting would be really helpful!

  • Parent Forum

Wed 08 Feb 2017 Mr Regan

Thank you to everyone who came to Parent Forum this morning.  Your support was much appreciated.  There was a full and frank discussion on the issue of attendance and how we can support our low attending families.  Thank you for all the viewpoints and ideas that were put forward.

For parents unable to attend this morning, there will be another chance on Wednesday 1st March at 2.15.  Hope to see you there!

  • Change 4 Life

Thu 02 Feb 2017 Mr Regan

It was absolutely brilliant to see parents and children having fun and  getting fit together at the Change 4 Life session after school last night!  Thank you to Mr Watkins for organising it.

Change 4 Life is a fun active session for parents and children to take part in together so why not come along? It's after school in the George Hall on a Wednesday.  Go on, you know you want to!!!
