  • Harvest Festival

    Fri 20 Sep 2019 Miss J Rush - RE Co-ordinator

Wow! Thank you so much to all parents and children who have donated so generously to our Harvest Festival collection. We are over-whelmed with the amount that has been donated.

Thanks to the parents who expressed their wishes on who should be the recipient's of our donations.

The majority of the parents wanted the donations to be shared between The Black Country Foodbank and families in school.

We are delighted to have made 5 food hampers that five lucky families in the school will receive.

Thanks once again for making the harvest festival such a success

  • Junior PCSO Program

    Thu 12 Sep 2019

For a number of years there have been problems outside the school regarding inconsiderate, dangerous and illegal parking during the dropping off and picking up of pupils.
Driveways in the area must never be blocked in anyway, pavements must not be parked on, even partially, road junctions must not be obstructed and zig zags never stopped on.

The school and West Midlands Police have been working closely together to implement the ‘Junior PCSO Program’ within the school and Police will train specially selected pupils to be Junior PCSOs.

One of their duties will be to perform high visibility patrols with Police Officers outside school at regular intervals, speaking with drivers about their inconsiderate, illegal or dangerous parking. If necessary, the Junior PCSOs will issue specially designed ‘tickets’ to drivers. If a driver receives two of these tickets and the issue of a third becomes necessary, then West Midlands Police will issue the appropriate Fixed Penalty Notice ticket.

I hope that you can support this exciting scheme which will help to make the school and the community around it, a safer place for all.

  • Roald Dahl Day

    Tue 10 Sep 2019
As a way of promoting reading for pleasure and exciting children to engage further in books we are having a whole school celebration of Roald Dahl Day on Friday 13th September. Children will be engaging in a range of exciting activities to celebrate the wide range of books written by the famous author. On this day children are invited to wear something yellow as this was Roald Dahl’s favourite colour. If you are feeling ambitious, your child is welcome to dress up as one of their favourite Roald Dahl book characters. If your child does not wish to dress up they are asked to come to school in their usual uniform.
