Can I just thank all parents for your continued support this half-term.  It's been a short but intensive half term with SATs and other things.

School will reopen for children on Monday 5th June at normal time.

 

School will be observing a minute's silence at 11.00 o'clock today because of the recent events in Manchester.  I would encourage all families and parents, wherever you are at 11.00, to do the same to help show the strength of feeling across our whole community.

 

I have been notified today that the school will be used for polling on 8th June, so once again will be closed for the day. Many many many apologies for the inconvenience!

Welcome back to the new term!  I hope everyone had a good Easter!  This term promises to be our best yet!

 

I am very pleased with the improvements made to the entrance to the Victoria building.  It now looks like a proper entrance!  Miss Rush's classroom is transformed now that the children no longer have to look out at a decrepit wall!!

 

I'd like to welcome Mrs Kerry Taylor as our new Deputy Headteacher.  If you see her around outside, please do go up and say hello.

I bring news hot off the press - the Y4 Gymnastics team have today been crowned champions of Dudley!  They are officially the best gymnasts in Y4 from all the schools in Dudley!  Well done, everyone!  I am very proud of all of you!!

Would you like your child to learn a musical instrument?

 

You are invited to an open evening on Thursday 30th March (drop in any time between 18:30 – 20:00) for children interested in learning a musical instrument. By going along you can try a range of instruments, find out about singing lessons, meet the teachers and ask any questions you have. Learning a musical instrument is a great thing to do and will open up all sorts of opportunities for children. Our school is committed to providing opportunities for children to get involved in music and we hope that you are able to go along. The evening will take place at Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton DY2 9ER.
